We are a multidisciplinary team of dedicated physicians and scientists who are interested in and actively care for people with cancer predisposition syndromes. Our goal is to acquire as much information as possible about the genesis and risks of tumor development. We always do this with the aim of improving the therapy and prognosis of patients with cancer predisposition syndromes in the long term. For many years Prof. Kratz has dedicated himself to the topic of hereditary causes of cancer and is well networked both nationally and internationally.

The Hannover Medical School (MHH) is home to the central registry for patients with cancer predisposition syndromes. We investigate cancer epidemiological questions and preserve blood and tissue samples from people with cancer predisposition syndromes. In this way, we are creating a resource that will enable us to answer basic scientific questions in the future. The samples are stored safely at the Hannover Unified Biobank. If you or your child have been diagnosed with a cancer predisposition syndrome, you are welcome to introduce yourself personally in our cancer predisposition consultation, especially if such an offer is not in your vicinity.
